1850230 - GW: "Registration of tp <program ID> not allowed" [VIDEO]

An RFC connection fails when an external program/application tries to register a program in the RFC Gateway with the error message:

LOCATION  SAP-Gateway on host <hostname> / sapgw<nr>
ERROR    registration of tp <program id> from host <external host>  not allowed
COMPONENT   SAP-Gateway
RC          720
 

meaning that the RFC Gateway is not allowing the program ID <program id> to be registered from the host <external host>.
