1851259 - Creating a variable that contains an empty formula in Webi throws an error "com.businessobjects.sdk.core.exception.common.ArgumentNullException: Argument cannot be null. (Error: RWI 00010)"

Symptom

In BI4.0 SP02, SP04 and SP05 with any Patch, creating a variable that contains an empty formula within a WebIntelligence report pops up an error:

"An error has occured."

Clicking on the Details>> button reveals the error:

com.businessobjects.sdk.core.exception.common.ArgumentNullException: Argument cannot be null. (Error: RWI 00010)
