1855976 - OpenDocument calls to CR reports based on BW data source are ignored in WebSphere

Symptom

  • OpenDocument (openDoc ) calls to Crystal Reports (CR) based on SAP BW data source are not passing on the parameter or prompt values when the web application is deployed on Websphere.
  • The same workflow works fine for same reports when using a URL of the (openDocument) web application which is deployed on Tomcat - where it does not prompt and shows the report directly.
  • The same workflow also works fine for non-SAP BW CR reports.
  • This issue occurs irrespective of all possible combinations of the the Crystal Reports parameters to skip the prompts (see kbase 1784776)
  • Issue has been replicated on patches 5.5 and patch 5.7
