1858446 - Incorrect SQL getting generated in WebI when a object from an alias table is used with a measure object using sum() function

Symptom

  • Incorrect SQL is getting genareted in WebI when we use an object from a creating a universe with an alias table and measure object using sum() function.
  • The generated SQL contains a 'AS column__1' in SELECT clause and GROUP BY Column__1.
  • This is not valid SQL and causes an error message:
    "[DataDirect[ODBC PROGRESS driver][PROGRESS]Column not found/specified (7520). (WIS 10901)"
  • Issue is reproducible only on WebI reports based on Progress database based universe.
