1863547 - How to change a connection in Windows - Information Steward 4.x

Symptom

  • Unable to edit existing connections under CMC > Information Steward > Connections.
  • Deleting and re-adding a connection with the correct Database string will invalidate all the tables, views and bindings that relate to that connection.
  • After using Promotion Manager to promote from one environment to another, error is received when clicking "Test Connection" in destination system:
    Connection Error: Object of type Database_Connection named "name" does not exist. (COR-10552) (ADM-10008)
