1863659 - When opening a Webi report that has a lot of data (more than one million rows) and an input control, and error occurs that states "An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API (Error: ERR_WIS_30270) (WIS 30270)".

Symptom

  • A Webi report has a lot of data (more than one million rows) and an input control that filters the data in the report.
  • When the Webi report is opened, an error that states "An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API (Error: ERR_WIS_30270) (WIS 30270)" is shown and instead of data being shown, the area is blank.
  • If less values are chosen in the input control, the data shows and the error is not shown.

Environment

  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 4.0 - SP06.
  • The Webi report is built on a .unx universe that is connected to SQL Server 2012 for the reporting database (This was the customer's reporting database but I don't think that this issue is specific to .unx universes or to SQL Server).
