1864222 - QaaWS client does not work with SSL enabled ( https ) URL on Windows 7

Symptom

  • QAAWS Client cannot resolve SSL enabled (https) webservices URL [https://servername:port/dswsbobje/..] on Windows 7 client workstation
  • The web services URL keeps spinning for sometime and eventually fails with "Web Service URL is invalid" on Windows 7 Client workstations. It however works on Windows XP machines.
  • other symptoms are identical to kbase 1846208
