Symptom

  • When logging into the Central Management Console (CMC) or InfoView/BI LaunchPad the error "Unable to log on: Could not connect to server <Server Name>" is displayed.

  • When logging into the server from Central Configuration Manager (CCM) the error ""Unable to log on: Could not connect to server <Server Name>" is displayed.

  • The database is able to be accessed and queried through TNSPING, SQLPlus, PING, TOAD etc.
