1865391 - Function "Use SAP Business Configuration Object" is not enabled.

Symptom

When Partner is trying to create the Solution templates or Customer Specific solutions the function Use SAP Business Configuration Object is not enabled in the Cloud Application studio to add content to pre-existing Business Configuration Sets or to create the Business Configuration.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud Applications Studio
  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. New Solution Template \ Customer-Specific Solution
  2. In Solution Explorer, right-click on Business Configuration
  3. Click on Create Business Configuration Set
  4. In the Wizard option Use SAP Business Configuration Object is not enabled.

Cause

The function Use SAP Business Configuration Object is only supported in Partner Development Tenant and it is not supported Test Tenant. Since you are using Test Tenant the function Use SAP Business Configuration Object is not enabled.

Kindly use Partner Development Tenant for creation of BC set objects.

Note : Business configuration (BC) Sets on SAP BCOs is supported for customer- specific solutions, but it is not supported for solution templates as per BYD studio documentation.

Resolution

This is only supported by PDI in partner dev tenants. Partner dev tenants only supported in ByD.
