The installation of a SAP System on Solaris OS fails with the following error when trying to create the home directory of <sapsid>adm user:

ERROR      <date> <time> 
FSL-00009  System call failed. Error 89 (Operation not applicable) in
execution of system call mkdir with parameter (/home/<sid>adm, S_IRWXU S_IRWXG S_IRWXO), line (495) in file (syuxcpath.cpp)

Unable to create node /home/<sid>adm with type directory: Operation not
applicable.
