1869392 - PS_60103_MALFORMED_REQUEST error within BI4 Live Office

Symptom

The following error can occur when SAP Business Intelligence 4.0 Explorer is installed on a Linux or Unix OS.

** Note: The issue described in this article may not be limited to only the combination of BI4 Live Office and Explorer. There may be other ways to send a request to Explorer from outside of Live Office which could exhibit the same error & behavior.

Error:

PS_60103_MALFORMED_REQUEST

schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document '/usr/sap/OD2/J00/j2ee/cluster/apps/sap.com/explorer-Web-Applications-Java-4.0/servlet_jsp/explorer/root/xsd\infospace.xsd', because 1) could not find the root document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not <xsd:schema>.

Environment

It has only been found to occur when the BI4 Explorer services are installed on a Linux or Unix. BI 4.0 Installations on Windows work as designed.

The error was reported in BI 4.0 Support Pack 05
