Symptom
- Life cycle manager (LCM or promotion management) is not calculating dependencies correctly for server groups at times
- While promoting reports, LCM adds non-dependent server groups to promotion jobs
- These server groups are added in the last "promote" step before submitting the job, with no possibility to deselect the unneeded server groups.
- Dependency calculation for standard server groups works fine but fails in complex scenarios involving nested server groups
- For Example: when you have multiple Parent server groups using the same child server groups, and
when a report has only 1st parent server group as dependency,
then LCM seems to bring all the unrelated parent groups - This issue can be seen on sample reports as well when used with same server groups structure
