1870226 - The Login User is the Employee Responsible in Over-the-Counter Sales Documents

Symptom

When creating an Over-the-Counter sales order, you find the Employee Responsible is not the expected one which is defined in the Employee Work Distribution Rules. Instead, system uses the current login user.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Over-the-Counter Sales work center.
  2. Click New Over-the-Counter Sales task.
  3. In the creation window, enter the account then you find the Employee Responsible is the current login user.
  4. Go to the Sales Orders workc enter view.
  5. Click New Sales Order, and enter the same account, you can see the Employee Responsible is XYZ which is determined from the employee work distribution rule properly. (XYZ represents the employee ID)

Cause

For Over-the-Counter sales, customers walks into the shop, buy and pay for the goods directly. So the employee responsible is the user who logged in and handled this sales transaction.

Resolution

This is the intended system behavior as design.
