1870768 - "sappfpar: cannot execute binary file" in SWPM

Symptom

During the installation of a SAP system on Unix-based operational system, Software Provisioning Manager tool (SWPM) stops in step createProfiles with the following error message:

WARNING <date> <time>
Execution of the command "/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/sappfpar pf=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/<profile> check2" finished with return code 126. Output:
/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/sappfpar: /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/sappfpar: cannot execute binary file

CJS-30022  Program '/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/sappfpar pf=/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile/<profile> check2' exits with error code 126. For details see log file(s) sappfpar.log.
