1872524 - Cannot Delete Price List or List price

Symptom

You would like to delete a price list, discount list or list price but the option Delete is grayed out.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Product Portfolio work center.
  2. Go to the List price view.
  3. Select a list price.

 or

  1. Go to the Product and Service Portfolio
  2. Click on the Price View
  3. Select the Base Price List view 

Cause

This is the standard behavior. In order to prevent inconsistences in the system, once a List Price, Price List or Discount List has been released (or partially released), it cannot be deleted anymore.

Resolution

However, you can cancel the release of the price list, what will result in the same effect.

  1. Go to Product Portfolio work center
  2. Go to Price List view
  3. Select a price list.
  4. Click on Release, then select the option Cancel Release.

 Once the release is canceled, the list price cannot be released again.
