1873049 - Your workplace e-mail address and/or telephone number is not maintained

You are accessing the Self Services with the intention to maintain the workplace e-mail. But you don't find an according option.

The workplace e-mail is required for various scenarios, for example:

 Sending cases to the Service Provider

Knowing the e-mail and phone number contact data is a requirement for forwarding cases to a service provider. Without the data, you can only save the case locally. Once the data is maintained, you can continue working with the case.

Form Output

The form framework is highly customizable. You may have chosen to add an employee/agent e-mail address printed on your custom designed form output.

The issue can be reproduced using the support scenario. When your e-mail address is not maintained and you are trying to forward an case to the service provider, you get to see the following message.

 Cannot send to the provider; Your e-mail address and/or telephone number is not maintained. Please update your contact data. To report the case internally, deselect the Forward to Service Provider checkbox.

In the HR hiring process it is unlikely that during the hiring workflow the workplace phone number and e-mail address are already known.

Using SAP Business ByDesign / to be done by administrators/key users

There are differences between the data maintenance for a company employee compared to the data maintenance for a service agent/external consultant.

Data maintenance for a company employee

In the Employees view

1. In the Personnel Administration work center open the Employees view
2. Use the Find field via name search or look the table list via scroll bar
3. Highlight the user via a mouse click, e.g. just click at the name
4. Click the Actions button and find the option Change Workplace Contact Data
5. Find the section Communication Data where the e-mail address can be maintained

In the Regular tasks view

1. Go to Personnel Administration work center
2. Go to View Regular Tasks work center
3. Select the task Change Workplace Contact Data
4. Search the employee and enter E-Mail under Communication Data

Data maintenance for a service agent/external consultant.

Service agents are maintained via key users or admin users with the Business Partner Data work center.

1. Go to Business Partner Data work center
2. Go to View Service Agents work center
3. Select the Service Agent and edit e-mail
