1877226 - Could not load file or assembly ‘CrystalDecisions.CrystalReportsEngine, Version=10.2.3000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKey Token=692bca5521e1304’ or one of its dependencies

Symptom

When a sample Windows application developed in Visual Sudio 2005 is deployed, the following error appears, while viewing the Crystal report:

Could not load file or assembly ‘CrystalDecisions.CrystalReportsEngine, Version=10.2.3000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKey Token=692bca5521e1304’ or one of its dependencies

Environment

Development machine Environment:

  • Visual Studio 2005
  • Crystal Reports 2008

Production machine Environment:

  • Crystal Reports 2008 32 bit runtimes SP6

Cause

The application uses Crystal Reports Assemblies of 10.2 version.

Resolution

  • Go to the Project properties->References
  • Remove the 10.2 Crystal Reports Assemblies and add the 12.0  Crystal Reports Assemblies.
