Symptom
After kernel change or during system update or upgrade by SUM, you get error:
- referenced symbol not found
- runtime definition of the symbol was not found
- Unsatisfied data symbol
error occurs, for example:
ld.so.1: disp+work: fatal: relocation error: file disp+work: symbol
ixml_iXMLOStream_PreserveSpecialChar: referenced symbol not found

locatorXTi__ was referenced
from module disp+work(), but a runtime definition
of the symbol was not found.
/usr/lib/hpux64/dld.so: Unsatisfied data symbol '_ZTIPKDs' in load module '/usr/sap/SUM/abap/exe/dw_gui.so'.
You want to check whether the kernel files are valid, or got corrupted.
You may also get error:
