1879665 - Product Specification Field is Missing in Purchase Order

Product Specification field is not visible in the Basic Data sub-tab of the Items tab in Purchase Order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Select Purchase Orders view.
3. Search for Purchase Order ABC (ABC represents Purchase Order ID).
4. Select Edit.
5. Go to Items tab.
6. Under Basic Data sub-tab, Product Specification field is not present.

• Product Specification field is only available for Item with Process Type, To-Stock. 
• For Non-Stock items, the Product Specification field is not available by default.

If a field is not visible by default, it can be enabled or added to the screen by adapting/personalizing the screen. However, the Product Specification field is applicable only for To-Stock items. For other item types, the Product Specification value is not retrieved from the Product Specification Master Data.

Follow the below steps to search and enable the Product Specification field in the Adaptation mode,

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center.
2. Select Purchase Orders view.
3. Search for Purchase Order ABC (ABC represents Purchase Order ID).
4. Select Edit.
5. Go to Items tab.
6. Go to Basic Data sub-tab
7. Select the Profile icon.
8. Go to Key user settings.
9. Select Start Adaptation Mode.
10. Select the arrow near the UI Element "General Information".
11. Search for Product Specification field.
12. Enable the checkbox.
13. Select save.
14. Select 3 dots icon.
15. Choose Publish.
    • A pop-up appears with checkbox "Overwrite individual personalization changes to this screen"
16. Enable the checkbox.
17. Select Publish.
