1881241 - How to Add an Employee and His/Her Responsibilities for an Account

Symptom

You want to know how to add an Employee name and his/her Responsibility for an Account in the SAP Business ByDesign system.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Account Management work center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. In the field Show, select All Accounts from the drop down list.
  4. Search for an Account ID using Find option.
  5. Select the Account ID hyperlink, a new window opens.
  6. In the General tab, under section Responsibilities.
  7. Here you would observe that required Employee Name and his/her Responsibilities are not visible.

Cause

Since you have not maintained the required Employee Name and his/her Responsibilities for an Account in the system, they are not visible on the Account Overview screen.

Resolution

Follow below steps to view the Employee details and the relevant Responsibilities on an account overview screen:

  1. Go to the Account Management Work Center.
  2. Go to the Accounts view.
  3. In the field Show, select All Accounts from the drop down list and search for the particular Account ID.
  4. Select the Account ID and go to the option Contacts linked under the Edit button.
  5. In the new opened screen, go to the Contacts sub tab and add New Contact using Add Row button and then do the Assignment for the contact using Assign Contact button.
  6. Go to the Relationships and Responsibilities subtab.
  7. Under Responsibilities subtab, add an employee using Add Row button and assign the Party Role and Responsibility as per your requirement and then select the Save button.
  8. Then go to the Accounts main screen and directly open the relevant Customer Account Hyperlink, under section Responsibilities you can see all the added details of an employee on the particular Corporate Account Overview screen.
