1884162 - Crystal RAS server fails to start on disaster recovery server

Symptom

  • Installed SAP BOXI 3.1 software on a primary server using virtual hostnmames where everything works
  • The installation is done on the primary server was on a flexible filesystem
  • Disaster Recovery is managed by switching this file system to the disaster recovery (DR) node and managed by modifying the virtual host name swap in hosts file
  • Similar DR scheme worked in XIR2 but fails when tried in XI3.1
  • Crystal RAS logs start but do not provide any useful inforrmation on failure
  • Solaris system level logs from /var/adm/messages do not give much leads either
