1884792 - Decimal place settings in transaction CUNI are not considered at sales order quantity

Symptom

The quantity field in the sales order always uses 3 decimal places as defined in the data dictionary (transaction SE11).

The number of decimals given in transaction CUNI is not considered by any kernel routines - it is only used by some conversion functions.

The number of decimals, which can be used in an input field is only defined by the used data element and its domain - this means by the application. Hence for VBAP-KWMENG this means 3 decimal places.
