1884858 - When navigating pages of a Crystal Report, the Web (DHTML) viewer performance is significantly worse than that of the ActiveX and Java viewers

Symptom

  • When viewing a simple Crystal Report in the ActiveX or Java viewer, the time spent waiting for the next page is very quick, generally about a second.
  • When viewing the same Crystal Report via the Web viewer, sometimes referred to as the DHTML viewer, switching pages sometimes takes significantly longer
  • In addition to the delay, the Crystal Reports Processing Server's CPU consumption is significantly higher when serving up pages via the Web viewer.
