1885415 - Calling a remote procedure in SQL Anywhere results in "Invalid user ID or password" after database migration - SQL Anywhere

Symptom

The call of a remote procedure, defined in the SQL Anywhere database, results in the error "Invalid user ID or password", if all of the following condition are meet:

  • database migrated to SQL Anywhere 16
  • local definition of the remote procedure is done
    • under a group account
    • without "SQL SECURITY" clause
  • no remote login defined for the group account
