Symptom

  • When attempting to install Crystal Reports, it fails.
  • Unable to install SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform, or the SAP BusinessObjects client tools.
  • When attempting to install or upgrade the SAP BusinessObjects software, or Crystal Reports, it fails with the error:
        
    "Failed to update cache for execution. Program will exit".
