1887193 - Not able to perform SSO with BI using Google Chrome browser

Symptom

  • Important to note: that AD SSO (spnego) is a function of Microsoft and built into Microsoft browsers by default. It is up to other 3rd party browsers to provide support for this as they see fit and SAP has no control over this 
  • SSO fails with 401, 404, http 500, or logon page when using Google Chrome browser
  • Note: Google Chrome may need additional configuuration for SSO but there are certain patches released on early versions BI 4.1 that Chrome will not work consistently even with these changes See SAP note 2208612 for the a fix and patches affected.
  • NEW: KBA 2629070 has been released with our latest security info and following this KBA will avoid most of the issues with different browser standards.
