Symptom

When a Crystal report is viewed from a Crystal Reports Web form viewer, the vertical text field appears horizontal.

Environment

  • Crystal Reports Server Embedded 2008 (SP6)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
  • SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 / 2012

Reproducing the Issue

1. Design a sample Crystal report with Vertical text filed.
2. Develop a sample web application to view the report.
3. After executing the application, the vertical text field appeared to be in horizontal position and overlapped the corresponding column text.

Cause

  • The issue has been escalated for a fix

Resolution

  • The issue is resolved in the following Product updates:
    • SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio
      • SP 7
    • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.1
      • SP 2
