You are creating a Credit Memo with Item Type Additional Cost Credit Item and want to use the option Distribute among other invoices or credit memos. However, this option is not available in the Cost Distribution of the relevant item.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign all systems.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Supplier Invoicing work center.
- Go to the Invoices and Credit Memos view.
- Search for Credit Memo ABC (ABC represents the relevant Credit Memo ID).
- Click on Edit.
- Click on View All.
- Select the Items tab.
- Select Cost Distribution subtab.
You can see that the option Distribute among other invoices or credit memos is not available.
Cause
Additional Cost Credit Items cannot be distributed directly to other invoices.
This applies to Supplier Invoices as well as Credit Memos.
Resolution
This is expected system behaviour. When creating the Credit Memo, the Distribute among other invoices or credit memos button is available only for item type Additional Cost Debit Item.
