Symptom

  • You are using the new Migration tool introduced in PI 7.31 to migrate a scenario from XI 3.0 or PI 7.0x release.
  • After you select the source & target system, input the logon data and clicking the 'Next' button, the following error occurs:
    Can't read data from source system <SID>. Details:
    com.sap.pi.tools.dirmig.scenario.DirectoryAPIException: This exception is wrapper of javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException.
    com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.client.bindings.exceptions.SOAPFaultException: User <Username> does not have access to method read.
