Is Business View Manager supported to create Dynamic cascading prompts (DCP) in CR2011 against SAP BW?

Environment

  • Crystal Reports (CR) 2011
  • Business View Manager (BVM) 4.0
  • Business Intelligence (BI) platform 4.0 

Resolution

  • DCP created using BVM are not supported with the use of BW MDX driver
  • BVM should not be used when Crystal Reports are created using MDX driver
  • Bex Query Designer should be used to handle variables
