1887815 - After a backup, SQL Anywhere needs more time for the first execution of a query than before.

After the start of the database server, the first select on the main table of the database takes several minutes. Using the Windows Task Manager we can see that during the execution, the used memory is constantly growing. Once the execution of the query is finished, every following execution of the same query is finished within a second. However, after each run of the nightly backup, the first execution of the query takes again several minutes. It looks like some of the previously cached pages of tables/indexes were thrown out of the cache.
