1888359 - startsap/stopsap 720 - No instance profile found

You are using the 720 startsap script delivered with the SAP kernel or from the attachment of the note 809477.

When you try to start or stop the SAP system/instances with the startsap/stopsap command on Linux and Unix servers, you receive: No instance profile found

However with startsap <hostname> / stopsap <hostname> you are able to start and stop the system/instances.

--- The startsap and stopsap commands are deprecated, as of April 2015. The scripts will receive no fixes and it is not recommended to use them anymore. ---
