1888509 - Dunning Run: 'Relevance messages per account skipped due to high number of accounts'

Symptom

Although a dunning run shows no errors or warnings you find the message 'Relevance messages per account skipped due to high number of accounts' in the application log of a relevant dunning run.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Receivables work center.
  2. Under Periodic Tasks view choose Dunning Runs.
  3. Highlight the relevant dunning run and open the Application Log.
  4. Under tab Results you find the mentioned message with a Status showing as green.

Cause

This is no message indicating an error or a warning. In previous versions an excess of messages of sometimes limited informational value have been created in the application log of a dunning run (for example: 'No dunning created' or 'Dunning created'). Depending on the amount of processed accounts this sheer amount of messages could potentially affect the system's stability. Consequently a new feature has been introduced.

In case a dunning run exceeds a threshold of 100 accounts, the afore-mentioned messages are skipped and exchanged for the general informational message 'Relevance messages per account skipped due to high number of accounts'.

Other possible warning and error messages are not touched by this feature and will show in the application log regardless of the number of involved accounts.
