1890449 - Error: "...trying to invoke the method java.lang.String.indexOf(java.lang.String) of an object loaded from local variable 'connectionVersion'" in SAP Information Steward

You may receive the following errors in SAP Information Steward 4.2:

1. In CMC >> Information Steward >> Connections, you may receive the following error dialog: Unexpected error decoding JSF component: {0}

2. In Information Steward, you click the Metadata Management tab, you may receive the following error message: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.lang.String.indexOf(java.lang.String) of an object loaded from local variable 'connectionVersion' 
After you click Ok to close the dialogue, you do not see any content. All information from running Data Integrator Source jobs do not show.
