1890823 - Cannot authenticate when using esp_cluster_admin command

Symptom

Despite following the instructions to use "Native UNIX" security, which involves adding some lines to the /etc/pam.conf file as described here:

Configuring a Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM) for UNIX 

any attempt to use the "esp_cluster_admin" command after starting the cluster is met with the error message:

"[error] authentication: Authentication failure:Invalid login credentials".
