1891609 - TMS Error "Extended transport control is not active: Cannot specify target client" with transport requests or in Shadow Instance of Upgrades

Symptom

This error message can appear in 2 different scenarios:

  1. In SAP Systems Upgrades, Enhancement Packages or Support Packages updates, you try to create or transport the SPDD / SPAU request on the shadow instance;
  2. When you try to create an ordinary transport request on your system.

Although this involves BC-UPG, BC-EHP and BC-CTS, the root cause is the same.
