1892900 - When using SQL Anywhere OEM edition, how can the application authentication string be passed automatically to the database server during connection?

Symptom

  • When using the SQL Anywhere OEM Edition, an application must authenticate itself against the database otherwise the connection is limited to be read-only. To authenticate a client application after making a database connection, an application must execute the SQL statement:
SET TEMPORARY OPTION connection_authentication=
'company = company-name;
application=application-name;
signature=application-signature';
