1892976 - You get Error While Creating a New Sales Quote: "Costs not determined"

You get error while creating a New Sales Quote: Costs not determined: No valid purchase price for material in company XXX; There is no inventory cost for material ABC in company XXX.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the New Business work center.
2. Select New Sales Quote under Common Tasks.
3. Add mandatory details in the sales quote.
4. Select the View All button and go to the Items tab.
5. Add the product ABC (ABC represents the ID of the product).

Error occurs: Costs not determined: No valid purchase price for material in company XXX; There is no inventory cost for material ABC in company XXX (XXX represents the ID of the company).

There is no inventory cost maintained for the material/product ABC in company XYZ.

1. Go to the Products and Service Portfolio work center.
2. Go to the Products view.
3. Search for the product ABC (ABC indicates the ID of the product).
4. Select the product ABC and choose Edit button.
5. Select the View All button and go to the Valuation tab.
6. Add the Valuation UOM, Company, Account Determination Group and Set of Books (with Cost Rate, Cost Unit, Valid From and Valid To dates).
7. Set the Status Indicator to Active.
8. Save your changes.

1. Go to the New Business  work center.
2. Go to the Sales Quote view.
3. Open the Sales Quote you created previously
4. Click on Edit and View All.
5. Navigate to the Pricing and Invoicing tab.
6. Go to the Total Pricing and click on Update Pricing.

The system will update the pricing and get the cost value from product master data. The issue will now be resolved.
