1892999 - Sales Quote Sent for Approval When One Approval Condition Is Met

Symptom

The Sales Quote is sent for approval even though it does not meet the configured approval conditions of Net Value greater than 1 million or Total Discount greater than 0%.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Managing My Area work center.
  2. Navigate to the Approvals view.
  3. Select Open Tasks.
  4. Locate the relevant Sales Quote.
  5. Verify that the Sales Quote is sent for approval even though it does not meet the configured approval conditions.

Cause

The approval process is triggered when at least one of the configured approval conditions is fulfilled. It is skipped only when none of the configured conditions are fulfilled.

In this case, the Sales Quote meets one of the configured approval conditions. Therefore, the system sends the Sales Quote for approval, which is the expected system behavior.

Resolution

This is the expected behavior in SAP Business ByDesign. A Sales Quote is sent for approval when at least one of the configured approval conditions is met.
