1898873 - EPM Add-in: The underlying connection was closed. Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel

Symptom

When creating a connection in the SAP EPM Add-in using a HTTPS connection, the following error is displayed:

EPM – General error

Error while communicating with the server.

Framework message:

The underlying connection was closed. Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.

These errors may also appear in the log file:

  • ERROR|FireflyConnection|?.?||||||VSTA_Main|The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
  • ERROR|Connection|FPMXLClient.Connection.ConnectionManager.CreateConnection||||||VSTA_Main|The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
