1900014 - DS 4.0 Teradata Unicode Issue

Symptom

  • Adding the ParameterizeSQLforTransLoader=FALSE in DSConfig.txt under [al_engine] section will cause UTF-8 data to be inserted incorrectly.
  • Inserting a '–' into a Teradata target will be converted to a 'â' entry instead when ParameterSQLforTransLoader=FALSE is included in the DSConfig.txt
  • When the ParameterizeSQLforTransLoader=FALSE parameter is removed, the data will be entered correctly but then the transaction control will not work.
