1901180 - Error: 'No Financial Companies Found In The System. Check Fin Company Set Up'

Symptom

Following errors occur during the execution of a financial report:

'No Financial companies found in the system. Check Fin company set up'

'Report inconsistent. It cannot be started.'

This error may occur for the following reports:

  • Earned Profit Overview for Dashboard
  • Earned Profit Overview for KPI
  • Order Profit Overview for Dashboards
  • Profit Analysis - Company
  • Profit Detail by Contribution Margin Scheme
  • Profit Overview by Key Figure
  • Net Revenue

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics work center
  2. Go to the Design Reports view
  3. Search and open the related report.

The error messages are displayed.

Cause

For the mentioned reports, Contribution Margin Scheme is mandatory field. The system will determine this field from the activity Set of Books. In this activity, the Contribution Margin Scheme field has not been maintained, and the system is unable to determine it. Hence while opening the report system gives the error.

Resolution

Setting the Contribution Margin Scheme is not allowed if any of the following reporting principles are used:

  1. Profit Center and segment
  2. Profit Center or Segment with balancing
  3. Profit Center or segment with clearing

Contribution Margin Scheme field is only allowed if the Reporting Principle of the Set Of Books includes cost related reporting.

If the cost-related reporting principle is used, please follow the steps mentioned below to resolve the issue.

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
  3. Select the project and click on Open Activity List button.
  4. Go to Fine-Tune tab.
  5. Search and open the activity Set of Books.
  6. Select the corresponding Set of Books and click on Edit button.
  7. Go to the Company Settings tab.
  8. In the field Contribution Margin Scheme, select a value from the dropdown list.
  9. Save the changes.
