1901986 - Cannot add source documents, unable to save publication personalization parameters

• On one of the servers in a landscape, the following workflows fail to work as expected
• Create new publication: Use CMC to Create NEW publication -> Add Source document > notice that No document is added (as shown below)
• Edit publication parameters:  Use CMC to Edit existing publication > choose personalization > edit parameter > update the parameter value & click ok > but the value stays same as the older one.
• The issue occurs on only one server. Exact same workflow works on all other servers
• The issue can be narrowed down to the tomcat server running on this box, as the same workflow fails on any BOXI server when using this Tomcat server
• However, clearing the Tomcat cache (work folder) or even redeploying the BOXI webapps or reinstalling the tomcat server itself do not resolve the issue.
• Logs captured at the CMC client browser (fiddler), tomcat and BOXI server layers do not provide any leads

• SAP BOE XI3.1 all patch levels
• Solaris 10
• Oracle 11g
• Tomcat 5.5 / java 1.5 (default)
