Symptom
Information Design Tool(IDT) and other BI 4.0 Client tools are installed on a Citrix Machine. A firewall resides between the Citrix landscape hosting client tools and BI 4.x server.
Creating a New JCO Connection in IDT takes a very long time. Running a software like TCP Viewer shows IDT is trying to communicate on ports that are not opened on the firewall. The IDT tool times out, when creating a new JCO connection, after entering the information for connecting to the CMS.
