1903445 - User Added View is removed from SAP/ODT/GENERIC Role After Every Implementation

You observe that after every hotfix/Patch deployment, view ODT_MANAGER_WCVIEW is removed from the role /SAP/ODT/GENERIC.

1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
2. Go to the Business Roles view.
3. Find  /SAP/ODT/GENERIC - Generic from All Business Roles.
4. Click on the link /SAP/ODT/GENERIC - Generic.

Here you do not see the user added view ODT_MANAGER_WCVIEW.

Each time the role generation is triggered for the system, the user added view ODT_MANAGER_WCVIEW is removed from the role.

The roles prefixing /SAP/ODT/ are pre-delivered by SAP and you can adjust them as needed however you cannot protect them against changes made.

The view ODT_MANAGER_WCVIEW is contained in the role /SAP/ODT/APPROVER.

You can use SAP pre-delivered roles /SAP/ODT/GENERIC and /SAP/ODT/APPROVER for a user to grant them the needed access rights.

If you do not want to use the business roles in the way SAP delivered then the business role should be copied and changes should be applied to the copied business role.
