1904106 - Error Message : Project XYZ Cannot be Deleted; Project Assigned to Sales order or Sales Quote.

When trying to delete the Project XYZ system throwing an error message: Project XYZ cannot be deleted; project assigned to sales order or quote.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to Project Management work center.
2. Choose Project view.
3. Find and choose project XYZ (XYZ represents the project ID).
4. Choose Delete Button
5. Here you can see system throwing error message Project XYZ cannot be deleted; project assigned to sales order or quote.

Once the project is released, it is now no longer be possible to delete or edit this project. So you cannot change anything in this project it will not allow you to edit once it is released. Only projects in the status In Planning can be deleted or edited. If the projects assigned to the Sales Order or Sales Quote it will now no longer be possible to delete this project. Once a project status is set to Started or Released, a baseline is automatically created, a snapshot is taken and project become Read-Only.
