1906645 - Viewing Web Intelligence documents in Web mode (DHTML viewer) hangs for a period of time intermittently

Symptom

  • Viewing Web Intelligence (WebI) documents in Web mode (DHTML viewer) hangs for a period of time (around 15~20 minutes) intermittently.
  • During the hanging period, all the WebI documents including SAP sample WebI documents cannot be opened.
  • However, opening the documents in Rich Internet Application mode (Java Report Panel) works as expected.
  • After around 15~20 minutes, everything starts to work fine again.
  • Restarting the Tomcat and Web Intelligence Processing Server fixes the issue temporarily, but the issue will come back again.
  • Locked threads found in Tomcat thread dump files:
