1909610 - The 'dump tran' command return Msg 4205 on a database with dedicated log - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • On an ASE upgraded to SAP ASE 15.7
  • For a database that has a dedicated log segement
  • Error 4205 is reported after a dump tran :

Msg 4205, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'ASE_157', Line 1:
Syslogs does not exist in its own segment in database 'db1' with segmap '3' with logical start page number of '23040000'.
You cannot use DUMP TRANSACTION in this case, use DUMP DATABASE instead.
