Symptom
- Execution of any command involving data modification to a system table fails with ASE error 10321:
Msg 10321, Level 14, State 1:
Server 'SYBASE', Line 1:
Ad-hoc updates to system catalogs not enabled. A user with System Security Officer (SSO) role must reconfigure system to allow this.
- The error may result from any data modification command (DML) such as INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE
- The error may occur using a utility such as Bulk Copy (BCP)
