1912678 - Long runtime when updating where-used list

Symptom

Creating / changing table maintenance dialogues using transaction SE11 / SE55 takes long (up to several minutes). Tracing that action using transaction ST05 or ST12 / SE30 reveals that most of the time is spent by selecting against table WBCROSSGT. Creating a HANA performance trace according to SAP note 1787489 shows the following:

These SELECT statements are repeated a large number of times with durations of a few seconds. This is the exact statement text:
